Westminster Fallfest

Best Friend, Sofia. Sofia is moving to Texas next week. It will be just as hard on me as it will be for Sophie. I have become just as good of friends with Sofia's mother, Elena.

Sleeping Beauty

Sophie has decided not to take naps anymore (even though she really needs one). To help me keep my sanity we do an hour of quiet time a day. The one rule is she has to stay in her room the whole time. Mostly she reads books or plays with her toys, but sometimes I get lucky and she falls asleep.

We went on a quick camping trip this weekend. The state park was in a town called Davis, WV; which was voted in the top 10 best mountain towns in the country. It was very pretty. Matt had Sophie singing Country Roads by John Denver by the end of the trip.

We started to lose our minds on the drive back, but we made it.

What we say.

Lately, Sophie has been playing with her dolls and dollhouse. Here are a few things I have over heard her saying as she is playing with them.

She does give her dolls lots of hugs and kisses and tells them she loves them so hopefully I am not as mean as I sound.

Week Two of Sophie's Sports Class

Baseball! Sophie had no interest in this sport. She was busy telling the coaches that her dad played baseball in college and that her team is BYU.

Sophie's Weekly Sports Class

I read somewhere that children should be physically active for at least 60 minutes a day. Some may say thats easy, but for Sophie reading books and playing princesses is way more important. So, I signed her up for a weekly sports class and for 50 minutes each week she will learn a new sport. This week was soccer.

Sophie did great for the first 30 minutes. They made them run the field like three times and lots of other drills. The last 20 she stopped every couple of minutes to take a drink from her water bottle. I am proud of her for trying and not giving up. She was the only girl so she got all the pink soccer balls! Tune in for next weeks sport adventure.

1st Trip to the Dentist

Sophie made her first trip into the dentist chair today. She did awesome! As soon as they put her in the chair she opened her mouth nice and wide. Unfortunately, the dental hygienist wasn't quite ready and by the time she was Sophie had started to chicken out. They asked me to leave and 10 minutes later she ran out looking like this.

She was very excited about her bag of prizes.

Matt got the long board out last night. Sophie was very impressed with his skills.

Quincy is always happy to just sit and watch his big sister.

First day of Preschool!

Sophie had her first day of preschool today. She was wearing all new clothes, had her backpack on, and a huge smile on her face. Unfortunately all the photos I took of her didn't workout because my memory stick wasn't in my camera. I will just have to take a picture on Thursday. Sophie had a great day and gets to see her best friend, Sofia at recess.

One Year Anniversary

I can now say that I am a blogger. It has been one year since my first post and over 60 post's later its still going strong. My first post was on my birthday last year. Well, it is here again and it was a great day of relaxing and hanging with my cute husband and fun children. Matt took me on a shopping spree yesterday to the outlets. WOW, what fun!
