OBX

A week at the beach with family, nothing better! My parents took my family and my three sisters' families to Nags Head, NC. My mother's brother and wife and his two children with their families joined us, total 27 people. We all stayed in the same house and had a blast. It was tiring with all the children but they had a awesome time together. Thanks Dad and Mom for the memories.

The whole gang

The Dinsmore's

Sand castle building. My uncle is a master and he was giving the kiddos some pointers.

We enjoyed a morning of catch and release crabbing.

Learning the trade from our cousin-in-law, home grown eastern shorer.

My brother-in-law, Finn, is a budding photographer and took some GREAT family photos.

Our pool, an everyday party!

My mom and sisters (I am amazed someone captured this picture because we were rarely sitting down)

The wipeout

Roanoke Island, the home of the first European baby to be born on American soil.

Sand Dunes

Kitty Hawk, the Wright brothers museum.

Cousins are so fun

Our family was always the first ones up (thanks Quincy). We walked down to the beach most morning's to take in the view.

Bicycling the Chesapeake and Ohio Canal Trail

The C & O trail is a bike path from Washington DC to Cumberland, MD (185 miles). It follows along the railroad on one side and the Potomac River on the other.

Some wild life along the way. We saw deer, a snake, woodpecker, squirrel, and plenty of turtles.

Two very excited kids ready to start the journey! We went about 12 miles of the middle section and I pulled them because my bike was already hooked to it, but it was all flat. Matt had fun taking photos of the old buildings we rode by.

Visit with old college buddies

We had a short but wonderful visit down in Baltimore with our friends from BYU, Brant and Melissa. They are in DC area visiting family and attending a wedding. We met at the Aquarium and then had dinner together. Our children are all the same ages and they hit it off right away. We wish they didn't live so far away in California.

Preschool Graduation

Sophie had her preschool graduation today. They sang a lot of songs, one in Spanish and one in sign language. She had a great year. Her teacher gave me Sophie's evaluation from Sept. and her evaluation from May, WOW has she learned a ton!

Of course, the best part was the party and treats.
