Father's Day

Happy Father's Day to all you dads out there. I will have to say we have the very best dad of all right here!

We went to Potbelly's in Washington DC, which makes these famous chocolate chip cookie ice cream sandwiches, and Matt fell in love with them. So, when I asked what treat he would like for his special day it was this. It turned out pretty good for my first attempt.

He said, " Wow, this is going to be our new Father's Day tradition. Yea!!

Me, Sophie, and Quincy love you like crazy and thank you for all that you do for us every single day. XOXO

Quincy enjoyed the chili I made (Matt's favorite)

Fun with Shadow

Quincy is in love with our neighbor's chocolate lab. If we are in the front yard he goes right to their house hoping he will come out. If we are in the backyard he stands at the fence hoping he will come play. Shadow is a perfect dog and very gentle. It makes Matt crazy for a dog of our own. One day when we have a yard bigger then a postage stamp and maybe some trees taller then Matt.

Always glad to see a friend

My old roommate, Shima, was in Washington DC for a conference so we met for dinner. Shima and Jeff and their two boys are heading to Africa for a couple years so this was my last chance to say goodbye.

Harpers Ferry

Harpers Ferry is a way cool national historical park on the corners of West Virginia, Virginia, and Maryland. Also, the Appalachian Trail goes right through the center of the park. We have been wanting to check this place out and glad we did, but it was 95 degrees and need I say more!
Quincy is our human thermometer.

The heat had gotten to us and we had ALL had enough.

Quick Trip to the Poconos

Fun crafts at the nature center.
