Famous Idaho Potato Bowl

Its Bowl season which Matt loves as much as March Madness...and one day I promise we will have cable so he can enjoy this time of year so much more.  We got tickets to watch the bowl game right here in Boise, Utah State vs. Ohio University.  Of course the game was super boring until we left to go home!

Santa

Henry was very brave.  It took him watching several children walking away with candy canes before he inched close enough.

This Santa Claus is in our ward and starts preparing for the Christmas season in July.

Christmas Programs Galore

Quincy's preschool class put on a little show for a local nursing home.

They were supposed to be working elves.  Quincy has had this hat on everyday since.

Sophie's class recited "Twas The Night Before Christmas" and had treats afterward (I was in charge again of bringing all the goodies)

The primary children performed the Nativity for the church Christmas party.  They did a great job and the music performed was beautiful.  I hope they will remember this special program for a long time.

Oh Christmas Tree, Oh Christmas Tree

We drove up to the mountains to find us a Boise National Forest Christmas Tree!  We made edible ornaments for the forest creatures to enjoy.  Peanut butter and oatmeal pine cones and strings of fruit loops were placed on a forest tree.

Now on to find our Christmas tree.  We had no trail to follow so we blazed our own.

It was slim pickin and we didn't want to hike for miles so we selected one that seemed pretty good.  When we got it home it was a little disappointing.  The trunk is so small we had to wrap it in duct tape so it wouldn't fall over.  The branches are thin so only feather weight ornaments can be displayed.  All and all it smells heavenly and kiddos don't care.

Harriman State Park

Enjoying some snow shoeing over Thanksgiving Break.

There was a lot of falling and crawling

Uncle James and cousin Tyler came along to do some cross country skiing.

There were a lot of games played.  Our children were given plenty of attention by their older and wiser cousins.
