Birthday Boy

Here he is opening his only present. Some old books off our friends grown children's bookshelf. We didn't get him one thing. I was planning on some type of backyard play thing, but it is not warm enough yet.
He looks so big just standing with the gang.

One of his many friends from church. When Sophie was a baby our ward in CA had more babies then adults, but now Quincy is hot stuff being one of the few.

The Hunt

Dressed for Easter

Easter morning

Sophie was shocked that she got her very own pack of gum.

The Greatest Show on Earth?

Sophie entered a coloring contest and won tickets to the circus. I am not a fan of the circus. The whole idea of elephants, tigers, and whatever other animals doing weird tricks for our entertainment is strange and pretty sad. Luckily, Sophie was not that into it and we left at intermission. But, way to go Sophie for winning her first contest!!!

Enlarge this photo and then let me know if you think this beats the wild?

Trip to Williamsburg

Our hotel-Kings Mills

We went on a little mini vacation to Williamsburg, VA with state farm, some type of reward. (I love my husbands company!) We stayed at a beautiful resort right on the James River. Most of Matt's coworkers golfed and spaed the entire three days, but of course with us bringing along the whole family are activities were a little different.

We enjoyed Colonial Williamsburg. We sat down on a bench to eat some ice cream and they started a reenactment and we were right in the middle of a heated conversation about the Revolutionary War. Sophie was really confused.

Then, of course, we had to stop at the one college in town.
William and Mary University

On the way home we stopped by my cousin Susanne's house in Fredricksburg.

Cookie fun

My sister-in-law, Lisa, got Sophie a huge container of cookie cutters and we have used them for playdough and tracing, but never for actually making cookies. On Sat. we had tile laid in our bathrooms and the tile guy brought his 9 year old daugther, Elli. So in the 9 hours she was at our house we decided to make sugar cookies. It filled the afternoon and everyone had fun.

mess, mess, mess

I was on the phone with RS stuff the whole time Sophie was at Preschool. And Quincy entertained himself for 45 minutes playing with the new box of sandwich bags (100) and roll of aluminum foil. Hey, it kept him busy!

Quincy's first hair cut

Before

After
It looks a little silly. I will take him to get a little boy hair cut when he turns one. I just am not quit ready for that.
