Where to start? The day we left for Hawaii we called home to check on my parents and the kiddos. Sophie came home from school not feeling too hot and threw up soon after. We called the next day (2nd day of our trip) and my father answered saying things aren't going too good. Sophie was at the hospital and they were doing a C-scan. In the middle of the night Sophie screamed out in pain and my mother went in and she was hot with fever and so they gave her some medicine and she went back to bed. The next morning she couldn't move and so my mom took her to the ER. But before she left she googled appendicitis, thinking that may be the problem. Sure enough after several test and X-rays she was taken into the OR for the removal of her RUPTURED appendix.

After a four day stay in the hospital with a touch and go temp. She came home and we followed two days later. All in all things turned out really well. My friends from church really stepped up and helped a ton and my parents were total champs! Sophie enjoyed her stay at the hospital telling us that they give her anything she asked for. She even asked the nurses if she could stay another day. My dad stayed with her at nights and said she would ask the nurses to put a movie on for her at 3:00 in the morning. Sophie still talks about all the movies she watched in the hospital.

She is doing great and her scar looks like a cat scratch. Thanks again to all that helped and especially to her awesome grandparents.
