Our trip to Vienna, Austria
Hitting travel: That has been Matt's goal every year since working with State Farm. We just went on our 4th trip. We took a charted flight out of Baltimore and stayed at the Intercontinental Hotel in Vienna, Austria for one week. Knowing my husband he kept us extremely busy and we saw a lot of stuff. This post will not be in order. Everyday our trip had highlights and nothing stood out as our favorite.
Riding the chair lift up to the tops of the Alps.
One pretty church after the next.
Matt pondering the beauty of the earth.
Bratislava, Slovenia
We took a bus over the border.
A look over the Danube in Slovenia and all the communist block apartment building in the background.
Deep in thought in the monk library of some old monastery.
Matt thinking he could make the cover of an outdoor catalog.
We got the chance to enjoy a river cruise down the Danube and the sights were amazing. Vineyards and old castle ruins.
Matt enjoying his daily sausage.
Using citybikes to get around the city of Vienna. If only the US would catch on to commuter bike lanes. We traveled many miles on these things.
Cows in the Alps with cow bells ringing.
"Need More Cow Bell"
I acted like a pregnant lady on this day trip to the Alps. It was really hot and Matt had desires to hike miles of the high terrain, but after a few looks and somebody telling me to be careful he willingly and lovingly allowed us to walk back down the mountain.
On the train to Schneeberg, the mountain town.
Cooling off in the thermal pools in Baden, Austria.
We hiked up to some castle ruins in Baden. It was really cool because we were the only ones up there.
Some of Matt's qualifying agents
The entrainment at a real Viennese dinner and vineyard.
Matt had a dip with the locals in the Danube canal.
Overlooking the city of Vienna.
Loving the market.
