A lesson learned...

...never judge a peach by it's tree

The story of our peach tree (one of our two trees)

In June, Sophie was playing outside and came in to ask me if it was fall. Of course not summer just began, then why are the leaves falling off our tree? In July, the little green fruit started to seep sticky stuff from holes all over it, not good. The dead leaves were still falling off, but now as they fell they stuck to the peaches. At this point we discussed cutting the tree down. Luckily we didn't and in August we had peaches! Pretty sad looking, but great for baking.

Your cobbler looks wonderful. Don't cut that tree down just yet. It may just be having a bad year. Dad says to stick your finger nail in the bark and if you come to green, then it's still alive. Good job with the peaches! MOM
